Trinity down Thurstan 41-3

Trinity entered the forties once more (after their annihilation of Table Leaders, Royal) by defeating Thurstan most convincingly by 41 points (3 goals, 4 tries) to 3 (a penalty) at Pallekelle yesterday.
The Lions dominated the game and were able to cross the Thurstan line on seven occasions.

Duminda Nayakaratne, J. Ratwatte, K. Yatawara and Kaneel Seneviratne scored in the first half and Rehan Weerakoon converted the last two for the home team to lead 24-0 at the break.
Roshan Perera, Dharshana Udalagama and Randika Alwis went over in the second half. Weerakoon added the points to the first try.

Gayan Lasantha put over the penalty for Thurstan.
