Cuddling couples and curious children

The Viharamahadevi Park is a popular hang- out for families as well as lovers. However, there is always some conflict between adults who bring young children to the park and the cuddling couples who are a common sight, as there is no clear demarcated area reserved only for the lovers.

A school teacher, Sriyalatha from Dambulla, who was accompanying a group of schoolchildren to the park, last week, said it was important to reserve a special area for couples so that the teachers would not have to answer embarrassing questions from the children.
