Chilaw Marians on top of BRC

Chilaw Marians was on top against BRC at the end of the second day’s play in their Under 23 Division One cricket encounter at the BRC grounds.

The Marians who ended the opening day’s play making a massive 467 for 8 declared their innings at the same score when play was to begin on the second day yesterday.The Chilaw Marians’ innings on day one was propped up by the right and left hand batting combination of Buddhi Samarawickrema and Sachith Pathirana who both cracked tons.

Police taking first lease of the wicket made 269 and had Navy struggling on 52 for 4.
