Royal win comfortably

Royal overcame an early blitz by the Anthonians to surge to a comfortable 40 points (5 goals, 1 try) to 13 (1 goal, 2 penalties) win at Nittawela last evening. At half time the unbeaten Royalists had more or less made certain of victory by establishing a 28-3 lead.

The try scorers for Royal were skipper Shehan Pathirana, winger Aryana Kudahetti (2), center Damian Ratwatte, flanker Wasim Bawa and winger Ejaz Bohoran, Jamaldeen added the extra points to five tries.

Flanker Sajid Laheer touched down for the home team which was converted. Fly half Dhanushka Dayan and Chamara Kumara put over the penelties. Referee - Dinka Pieris.
