Royal had a good outing for next week’s Bradby game at the same venue with a thumping 48 points (4 goals, 4 tries) to five (a try) at Bogambara. The winners led 24-5 at the break.

The Rajans, whose sixth defeat this was, surprisingly got on the board first thanks to a try by Kavinda Hettiarachchi. Thereafter it was one way traffic as Arshad Jamaldeen, prop Iroshan de Alwis (2), skipper and number eight Shehan Pathirana, centre Damien Ratwatte,hooker Aadil Jabar and flanker Lahiru Pathirana went over.

Jamaldeen converted four of the tries.
