DSS thrash St. John’s

DS Senanayake smashed St. John’s, Nugegoda by a whopping 65 points to nil in their Under-20 schools division I ‘B’ rugby league match played at the Sugathadasa Stadium. DS Senanayake who led the first half by a comfortable 19-nil went on to score eleven tries and recorded five conversions.

For the winners No.8 Devin Ariyakumara scored three tries. Centre Avinka Abeysekera who is also the skipper and scrumhalf Romesh Hasantha scored two tries each. Winger Kapila de Silva, flyhalf Senajith Dilshan, first-row-forwards Roshan Mohamed and Lakshan Vishwajith scored a try each. Pranith Ariyakumara converted three tries while Ishara Yahampath and Irshad Mohamed put over a conversion each.
