Merging of metal

In the wake of Stigmata’s performance at the Melbourne International Arts Festival in Australia in October last year, the band is preparing to bring down two of the most revered and respected names in the International rock industry; Middle Eastern metal giants Nervecell & UK’s premier Progressive Thrash Metal Band Cyanide Serenity for an exclusive one night performance in the City of Colombo on Friday May 6, 2011 at the auditorium of the British School.

Nervecell is the United Arab Emirates’ most extreme and popular band having toured major festivals around the world sharing the stage with renown artists such as Sepultura, Machine Head, As I Lay Dying, Korn, Muse and Killswitch Engage. Their new record Psychogenocide will continue to set a high standard for the International metal scene and is certain to receive rave reviews around the globe.

Cyanide Serenity is UK’s leading progressive thrash metal band and is geared to display their intricate musical prowess and powerful song writing when they perform for the first time in Sri Lanka on May 6. The band exploded onto the international stage by opening for heavy metal giants Iron Maiden and is now fast becoming a recognized and respected metal outfit around the world.

This is also the first time that an International rock ensemble from England will tour Sri Lanka. All three Bands will merge as one for the love of their artistry while establishing a steadfast gateway for many more artists and international bands to tour Sri Lanka. ‘Psycho Martyrdom’ aims to create an event of an international standing that will help provide a platform for many more artists to tour the country.
