A girl’s team is training at the moment in the City of Gems in preparation for an important contest to be held in the Lion City. The shift in venue was done because the venue that the team was supposed to train has been taken over by a circus. However the talk is that these girls are unable to get transport to the training venue from their lodgings and they come for practices in three-wheelers and whatever transport that they can get. One day the girls came for practices in a lorry to the amazement of all concerned.
The schools Twenty 20 Tournament was conducted successfully but the man who organized the event was missing as he was getting ready to take another team to Malaysia for a similar contest there. They say that the lads to Malaysia had to pocket out a cool amount to be in the list to Malaysia.
The cute smile
The scene shifts to a major event staged on our shores. A pretty assistant was supposed to have been paid a staggering amount for her duties for this event. But for some reason or the other the pay had been extended for six months just because she has a cute smile and the official concerned had been completely taken in by her charms.
Still on the big event, a certain VIP had tried to smuggle in a bottle containing the spirit of joy to the arena. However the security chaps on duty in that distant land had flatly refused to accede to the request. It is said that some other important guys too had tried to help this VIP but the security chaps had been firm. It looks as if some security personnel are very strict, not like the chaps on duty on home grounds.
There are supposed to be two factions in the cycling arena who are eyeing big posts. One section had even gone to the extent of accusing this guy, who is supposed to be a calm and respected person well known for his good behaviour to the extent that he had misbehaved with a girl. What people will do to climb higher!
What a waste
Several souvenirs amounting to 100,000 were printed for a big event and they were sold out like hot cakes. However a bigger lot was wasted and they were unloaded at the Head Office without much fuss. Had the authorities concerned printed them earlier there wouldn’t have been such a waste.
Not for me!
It is said that two parcels of wrist watches were brought to the island to be distributed amongst the media personnel who had worked so hard for the big event. However one parcel had been lost and the lady in charge of the parcels, a foreigner at that, had been so annoyed that she had given out the watches only to media personnel in the neighbouring countries and none to the personnel at home.
