Wickets tumble at Braybrooke Place

As much as twenty two wickets fell on the first day in the solitary Premier League match played this week-end between Antonian SC and Moors at Braybrooke Place.

Antonians winning the toss and batting were shot out for a paltry 112 with medium pacer Dilhara Lokuhettige leading the way for the Moors with a haul of 4 for 27. He was well backed by Kasun Madusanka who finished with figures of 3 for 23.

Nevertheless Moors too did not fare much better in their first and were also out for 128 runs with Chatura Randunu making in roads in Moors batting with figures of 4 for 41. Antonians SC 112 in 31.3 overs (R. Nonis 30, N. Wijesinghe 18, Dilhara Lokuhettige 4 for 27, Kasun Madusanka 3 for 23) and 13 for 2 ( Dilhara Lokuhettige 2 for 2)

Moors 128 in 36.1 overs (C. de Silva 36, Sameen Kandanaarchchi 23, R. Kellepotha 17 not out, V. Selvarajah 2 for 29 and Chatura Randunu 4 for 41 and Isuru Sampath 2 for 32) (MSA)
