Funday Times - A Poem for the week

The Maths World

By Menasha Udayakumara, Mahamaya College, Kandy

Triangles and congruency,
Loci and construction,
Geometry and Algebra,
All add to the fusion.

The names may sound fun,
But inside it’s not,
Practice is necessary,
All that you’ve got.

Maths is not ‘bout notes,
It’s not about memorizing,
It’s about our thinking,
And how we put it in
writing.

The biggest challenge of Maths,
Is your term exam,
When within a limited time,
You have to rack your brain.
