The big pug

The bookie nephew who heads the temporary mission and now walks around in a full suit, throwing his weight around is reported to have tried to enter the dressing room while the match was on. To his utter dismay the real heavyweights who are really running the show with an ear to the ground was not impressed with this man and told him that he cannot enter the dressing room under any circumstances.

Deeeeee rope
Last week’s fixing hoax – who was behind it? The veteran south paw always hated the No4 and always called by derogative names. This time when the fast bowler got the number 4, the disgruntled south paw picked his bunny to feed the false story. The next morning the game was set on fire with the idiot box blaring out a diabolical lie.

Some who knew the base of the case said: “It’s not done to bring a man who has lived by ethics down and especially when the country is also involved in a tactical war of supremacy. At the same time for a man who has contributed so much for the game the South Paw should have known better.”

New Look
Medical Jaya of the new world is gradually changing his coat. Once again the Short ex-Teacher has become his best friend and the teacher is on a mission to bridge the gap between the Medical and the bookie man who now sits on the throne.

Fluttering flags
Now to a holy place, the man-in-charge was berating about a certain section of the town being deluged with flags belonging to a foreign country when the home team was playing at the venue. It is said that the foreign flags were there because the people in the area were protesting about the beautifying process that was in process to please the foreigners who have come in numbers to witness the event. The man-in-charge went on to say: “This is ‘our country and we should support our team… come what may and maintain the existing peaceful atmosphere.” Continuing he said: “We should be proud of our country. If you are supporting the foreigners, please be quiet about it.”

Placard
These words were on a placard at the Sri Lanka-Kenya game which Sri Lanka won easily: ‘We love Sri Lanka and we pray for Kenya’.

A good vocation
The Bookie man was at the den of the fourth estate. He was walking down isles and tapping every scribble and asking if the facilities were good and it was his pleasure to provide them with all such goodies.

Yet one scribe quipped: “It’s not he who is responsible for all this. It is the Ice Cream Company (ICC) who has done it. He is walking like this to get the credit for the work that someone else has done. Good, after this training he must be thinking of taking up to politics. Now he is running behind them. In a while he will be one of them”.

Floating tickets
On the subject that has invaded our country with such great effect and keeping everyone interested in it on their toes. Tickets from a VIP stand were seen being thrown to certain people down below who collected them with glee and made a bee-line to enter the stand. The security was left wondering how so many tickets were printed when the said stand was already full!.
