Nisal, Malintha help CCC dominate proceedings

Tons by skipper Nisal Randika and Malintha Gajanayake helped CCC dominate proceedings in the high scoring Premier Tier ‘A’ cricket encounter against SSC at the SSC grounds yesterday.
Nisal and Malintha’s tons enabled CCC to gain a first inning win helping the side, resuming from their overnight score of 222 for 3, to end the day by making a mammoth 484 for 6 in reply to SSC’s 451 for 7 declared.

Ragama CC resuming from their overnight score of 337 for 4 also made merry when they too made a massive 483 against NCC. NCC in their turn ended the second day’s play on 146 for 2.

At the FTZ ground in Katunayake Chilaw Marians (continuing from their overnight score of 322 for 8) posted 342 before being bowled by Saracens SC in reply by making 214 for 9.

Bloomfield has already obtained a first inning lead against Badureliya CC at the end of the second day’s play at the BRC grounds. At Colts ground half tons by Sachitra Serasinghe, Gihan Rupasinghe and skipper Jeewan Mendis saw Tamil Union end day on 364 for 8 against Colts who made 263.

Police are on top against Seeduwa/Raddoluwa CC at the Police ground. At Braybrooke Place Moors have already secured a first inning win over Navy after scoring 279 and restricting the visitors to 250. Panadura were 165 for 6 in reply to BRC’s 311 on day two at the Panadura Esplanade while Army have already obtained a first lead over Antonians SC at Panagoda.
