Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Beautiful forests

By Rebecca Ratnam, Methodist College

Forests are wild and beautiful
With creatures oh, so colourful!
Purple faced monkeys, spotted deer,
That drink at pools clean, cool and clear.

Where carnivores hide, slink and prowl,
Nightly you hear the hoot of owls,
Loud growls and roars, screeches and screams,
For in the forest no one dreams.

Birds call and carol when dawn comes,
Trees and undergrowths fill with hums,
Exotic blooms perfume the air,
So for our forests we must care.
