It’s serious business for the Sri Lankans
The Lankans go into their final ODI against the West Indies today and will vie for another comfortable win to keep their morale high in their run to the more important World Cup in their own backyard thirteen days hence. Yes, the weather once again would play a major role in the final outcome as more rains are predicted by the authorities.
 
Lankans have lost their home advantage
In 1975 the Sri Lankan cricketers were just tolerated into the big league as a result of them winning the qualifying round meant for the lower rung minnows in the inaugural Cricket World Cup in 1975. There the little islanders managed to give the then giants – the Australians a nail biting scare.
