Heritance Hotels group wins awards for ‘Cleaner Production’

Heritance Ahungalla and Heritance Tea Factory secured seven awards and a merit certificate out of 10 recognitions for the service sector at the recent National Cleaner Production Awards 2010.

Gold and Silver Service Sector Awards were won by Heritance Ahungalla and Heritance Tea Factory, respectively. Heritance Tea Factory also received Excellence Awards for Energy, Water and Material utilization while Heritance Ahungalla received Excellence Awards for Water and Material Utilization and a Merit Certificate for Energy Utilization. Heritance Ahungalla was represented by Refhan Razeen (General Manager), Jayantha Madanayake (Chief Engineer) and Ravindra Kumara (Assistant Engineer / Environment Management Representative) while Heritance Tea Factory was represented by Roshanlal Perera (General Manager) and Amila Gamage, (Chief Engineer) and Environment Management Representative (EMR), according to a company statement. Heritance hotels comes under the Aitken Spence Hotels & Resorts umbrella.
