New year cop swap

More than 150 Police officers, including DIGs, SSPs, ASPs and OICs, have been transferred with effect from yesterday.

DIG- Kalutara District, S.W.M.T.B. Samarakoon has been transferred to the Nuwara Eliya District, while DIG- Nuwara Eliya District, Lucky Peiris has been transferred to Police Headquarters as DIG- Crimes.
DIG- Greater Colombo, Daya Samaraweera is also DIG- Kalutara District, in addition to his current responsibilities.

Director- Crimes, SSP A.R. Waidyalankara has been posted as Director- Personnel (Disciplinary & Conduct) and Director- IT Division, while OIC- Panadura Division, SSP E.A.S. Edirisinghe goes as Director Crimes.

More than 100 police stations also received new OICs with effect from yesterday.
