The fourth and final round was of academic interest and the first race of the Formula 1300cc event saw Asela Ekanayake who was lying sixth at the end of round three take the race pushing champion Ashan to the second slot with Emdad Hussain taking the third place.

Ashan smarting from the defeat came back with vengeance in the second race of this event as he had his own way and had things under control. He used his experience to the hilt and never gave the others any chance and came out an easy winner.

Kaushalya Samarasinghe who was lying joint third at the end of the third round secured the second spot while Hussain again had to be satisfied with the third spot. Ashan’s win saw him ending up as the worthy champion with Kaushalya who secured a second and minor placing in the first race of the fourth round being the second best.

Kaushalya who on 22 points at the end of the third round added a further 13 points to his credit while Asela though winning only one event for the day and who was on 19 points ended up as the third best with 29 points.

The organizers who introduced a Formula 1300cc event for Novices with the idea of encouraging young and aspirant drivers during the third round held another event which was the only other event to be held for the day.

The Novices event saw Waruna Ranatunga brush off the challenge of others by taking the event with Thiwanka Wijeyesekera who was the winner last time coming in second and Viren Boteju securing the third place.

The champion and runners up will be felicitated at a glittering awards ceremony which the organizers have planned to hold at the Go Kart Autodrome in Battaramula on January 8, 2011.
