My memories of Wycherley

At 26 years of age, I think of my life thus far as having had two very distinct phases. The two phases being: my years at my beloved alma mater Wycherley International School and life after Graduating from High School.

For as far back as I remember Wycherley was a very important part of my life. My experiences during this time, starting at a very young age helped to define who I am today. Wycherley was not just my school but it was my home away from home. I am so grateful to have been blessed with the opportunity to attend Wycherley, which not only provided me with the education I needed to succeed in my future endeavours but also prepared me to take upon some of life's ever changing battles. My Principal, teachers and friends are all a part of some of the fondest memories I have. The bonds and friendships that were formed during this time will never be broken and will always hold a dear place in my heart.

Upon graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in May 2007, I returned to Cummins Inc to pursue a full-time opportunity in Service Engineering. I left the company in August 2008 to pursue my Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University. During this time I did another 7 month internship at Cummins Inc, this time with the Global Logistic division. In May 2010 I graduated with my Master's Degree and went back to Cummins Inc to take upon a Global Operations Improvement Leadership Position. My current full-time role gives me the opportunity to work with different Cummins Inc facilities across the world, to drive process improvement work in the areas of Supply Chain Operations and Logistics.

I am sure and I say it with pride that Wycherley is the institution that has given me direction in my life.
I am not sure where my career will lead me, but I am optimistic that it will take me places. I am here today because of the upbringing I had at Wycherley. Wycherley, may your name and prestige ring far and wide!
