Crystals live in Concert - an evening of dance and bridal elegance

The show envisions being different, it promises to fulfill your desire to enjoy an experience that will appeal to your heart and soul. Crystals live in concert- an evening of dance and bridal elegance which features a unique medley of dance acts by the young and aspiring group ‘Crystals’ will also be a stage for bridal maestro par excellence Harris Wijayasinghe to showcase a repertoire of his timeless creations that have been the envy of several aspiring brides looking for inspiration to make their big day, unforgettable.

Crystals guided by Melanie Malcolm, consists of a fun loving bunch of self trained dancers who began their journey five years ago, when they put on a performance for their family for the fun of it. Ever since then, the dance troupe consisting of 20 girls and boys have come a long way, only to become a formidable team of dancers who yearn to touch the lives of others with their special gift.

These passionate youngsters, inspired by Bollywood and its magic hope to change the realm of dancing; stereotype song and dance numbers will be a thing of past when Crystals put on a show that transcends boundaries, satiating soul and reawakening your dormant spirit. Crystals will showcase a number of dancing styles that include hip-hop, kathak, belly dancing, contemporary, passo doble and afro jazz. Organizers say that the flute kick and belly dancing are two items that are not to be missed.

‘decided to support these kids because I wanted the country to realize how talented they are. This show will also be a stage where I revive some of my celebrated and much loved bridal designs. I will have three sections showcasing Western, Indian and Kandyan bridals along with bridesmaid and going away ensembles’ said Mr. Wijayasinghe.

More than half of the proceeds will in aid of the Maharagama cancer hospital.
