Taylor's University meets holistic needs of students

Over the last 40 years, Taylor's University has evolved into one of Malaysia's most successful and reputable private higher education institutions. More than 65,000 students have graduated from its halls and many occupy prestigious positions in their chosen fields.

Taylor's University is a member of the Taylor's Education Group, which comprises Taylor's College, Garden International School, Sri Garden Kuala Lumpur, Australian International School Malaysia and Nexus International School.

"Our programmes encourage strong academic performance and imbue students with the qualities that are highly sought after in the global marketplace. They are benchmarked against and conducted in collaboration with our top-rated partner universities to ensure we maintain the highest standards." says Lydia Wang, Chief Marketing Officer Taylor's University.

As a testament to this, Taylor's University College was one of the 18 higher education institutions which achieved Tier Five or 'excellent' status in the Rating System for Malaysian Higher Education 2009 (SETARA).

Lydia further commented, "In September 2010, Taylor's was upgraded to university status. This is the most significant milestone in our history. Boosted by this recognition, we will continue to uphold the quality of our teaching to fulfil the holistic needs of our students while contributing to the development of Malaysia's human capital."

The flagship Taylor's University Lakeside Campus in Subang Jaya provides students with a luxurious, state-of-the-art environment in which to learn. Situated around a panoramic 5.5 acre lake and occupying 27 acres of tropical greenery, the new campus houses all existing tertiary programmes currently located at Taylor's various campuses in Subang Jaya and Petaling Jaya.

Facilities include airy lecture halls, computer, engineering and science labs, design studios, practical kitchens and training restaurants, a student centre and a spectacular glass-walled, about 1000-seat library.

From its humble beginnings to its recognition as a global brand name, there seems to be no limits to the heights that Taylor's can soar. With its sights firmly fixed ahead, it is evident that Taylor's University is moving forward in leaps and bounds towards shaping the future of Malaysian education in achieving the mission of being a university of 20,000 students, renowned for its teaching excellence and the distinctive quality of its graduates.
