‘No Return’ goes to Cairo

Award winning contemporary playwright, Rajitha Dissanayake’s latest play ‘Apahu Herenna Behe’ (No Return) will be performed at the 22nd Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre which is now on.

Rajith with his Freedom Theatre Group represents Sri Lanka at the festival which is being held from Ocotober 16 to 18. ‘Apahu Herenna Behe’ has received rave reviews while winning six awards, including Best Play and Best Director, at the 2009 National Drama Festival.

The cast comprises renowned stage, film and tele-drama actors and actresses including W. Jayasiri, Jayani Senanayake, Dharmapriya Dias, Shyam Fernando, Gihan Fernando, Anusuya Subasinghe, Prasad Sooriyarachchi and Bimal Jayakody.
