Bathiya N Santhush back to sing for HFC

Singing superstars Bathiya N Santhush (BNS), will be appearing in a special concert for Holy Family Concert, Bambalapitiya at the St. Joseph’s College Sports Complex on October 30 at 7 p.m.

“The concert organized by the HFC PPA is a fundraiser for the school’s chapel, which being over a century old is in need of renovation,” said Dedunie de Silva, President of the HFC PPA. The PPA will also launch their website www.hfcppa.org at 6.40 p.m. that evening, just prior to the show, said Dedunie, welcoming the participation of Familians, past and present at this event.

The show comes with all the attendant excitement of a Bathiya N Santhush performance, dancers, sets and of course, their signature sounds. Also making an appearance as guest artiste will be Dushyanth, whose participation is sponsored by Ceylon Biscuits Ltd, for whom he is the Munchee Rollo brand ambassador.

Bathiya N Santhush now domiciled in Australia are flying back in time for this special concert. This follows the release of their latest album ‘Sara Sihina – The Fifth Element’ in September, their fifth musical offering where they collaborated with three guest artistes, the internationally famous Hariharan, Asha Bhosle and popular local singer Rukantha Gunathilake. Now regarded as some of the biggest stars in the local music firmament, Bathiya N Santhush hit the big time with their groundbreaking album ‘Neththara’ released in 2006.

“We are very grateful to all our sponsors, ETV (electronic media), EFM (radio), the Sunday Times (print) and the Harpo’s Group for having our tickets on sale at their restaurants, as well as to the Rector and staff of ST. Joseph’s College, for all their support,” said Dedunie.
