Sound Engineering workshop

A free sound engineering workshop will be held for local sound technicians from November 3-7 by the Norwegian sound engineer Dag Olaf Aastebøl. The workshop will be held in parallel to the concerts and workshop series by Kohinoor, the Norwegian band touring Sri Lanka in November.

The workshop will be a hands-on, experimenting, four-day free of charge programme with three days of theory and one day of practice at Kohinoor's concerts. Participants will be expected to understand basic standard international technical terms and be experienced at open air shows.
Aastebøl is a freelance sound engineer from Stavanger living in Thailand.

He runs his own firm, Silence Please, and has previously travelled for Concert Norway giving workshops in sound engineering in Islamabad (Pakistan), Kathmandu (Nepal) and Hikkaduwa/Colombo (Sri Lanka). He has a well-developed course plan and experience from workshops in developing countries.

Interested candidates are requested to apply on or before October 14th by e-mail with a copy of their Curriculum Vitae to jaffnamusicfestival@gmail.com
