From carpets to Kabul: An architect speaks

Architect and designer Tilak Samarawickrema will deliver a public lecture titled Voyage in Design: Carpets ,Weaving and Afghanistan at the American Center, No 44, Galle Road, Colombo 3 on Wednesday , October 6 at 6 pm. He will speak of his recent experience in Afghanistan (May-June 2010) where he worked as a design consultant for IESC (International Executive Service Corps, Washington) on a USAID funded project to set up a Design Center for carpet weaving.
