IronOne Technologies, the leading stock market software solutions provider in Sri Lanka, has been chosen by the new-entrant Indian brokerage India Infoline Securities as the IT services provider for its operations in Sri Lanka, the local company said.

An IT Services Agreement ratified by the two companies in Colombo recently paves the way for IIFL Securities to source its total software platform requirements from IronOne, including the latter’s instantly-deployable industry-leading Atrad Solutions Platform, it said.

Ms. Priyani Ratna-Gopal Country head of IIFL Securities Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd., Ms. Lakmini Wijesundera Director & CTO of IronOne Technologies, Shalitha Wijesundera, Vice President - Corporate Affairs and Fazeen Asmone Vice President - Stock Market Solutions were present at the exchanging of the agreement.

IronOne Technologies’ Atrad stock market software platform has been selected and launched for back office operations including General Ledger (GL) and Internet online trading, to effectively cater to domestic and foreign institutional investors in Sri Lanka.

Speaking at the occasion, Ms. Ratna-Gopal stated that in August, technology experts from IIFL’s Indian parent company had evaluated the stock market solutions available in Sri Lanka against the option of customizing and launching their Indian solution at IIFL in Colombo. They were impressed with the Atrad solution platform as it is deployable immediately to facilitate the start of operations without the need of any extra customization delay, she said.

The experts had also noted that the Atrad solutions platform handles the total IT needs of the brokerage firm from online trading (front office solution) to the back office solution including GL accounting.
IronOne Technologies is a privately owned company with offices in Austin Texas, USA and Colombo, Sri Lanka. The IronOne technology centre located in Colombo has over 65 IT professionals and serves a global clientele with a focus on the financial sector.

IronOne Technologies Co-founding Director and Chief Technology Officer Ms. Lakmini Wijesundera personally spearheads the Atrad – Stock Market Solutions division of IronOne as it is the fastest growing business line of the company. Currently eight leading stockbrokers use Atrad solutions to provide web-based online market access and web-based back office which includes processing of settlements and accounting functionality. The solution is used by both foreign owned broker firms with operations in Sri Lanka, in addition to local brokerage operations.
