Channa Wijewardene on Prime TV’s ‘CELEB CHAT’

Sri Lanka’s internationally renowned dancer / choreographer Channa Wijewardene takes a trip down Memory Lane on Prime TV’s ‘Celeb Chat’ and shares with you his days at Isipathana College and his seamless transition from the tackles and scrums of the rugby field to the charm and infinite grace of the dance form.

He pays tribute to his guru, Dr. Chitrasena, and several others who shaped his career along the way. With special mention of his wife Upuli, to whom he says he owes more than half of his success, Channa enthuses about his life and work, both of which revolve around dance.

Watch his demonstrate how a quick rugby pass and an agile side-step, together with the heavy throw of a putt shot can be transformed into a graceful dance movement.

All this and lots more as host Kumar de Silva chats to Channa Wijewardene on Prime TV’s ‘Celeb Chat’ at 9.30 pm on Monday 20 September. Repeat programme will be telecast on Tuesday, 21 September at 3.00 am 11.00 am and 8.00 pm
