Quarter finalists found

12th Western Province Badminton Classic Championship

Quarter-finalists have been found in the girls and boys under-14 categories at the 12th Western Province Badminton Classic Championship that began at the Moratuwa Campus hall Moratuwa yesterday.

The tournament, conducted by the Western Province Badminton Association, began at 8.30 in the morning saw the under-14 category being worked out up to the quarter-finals before the men and women’s over-20 category began in the afternoon.

The boys’ quarter-finalists are: Sachin Dias versus Vibhavi Charithma, Shan Perera versus Dhakshika Goonathilaka, Ryan Fernando versus W.P.K. Amaranayake, Dilshan Madusha versus Thisal Yatawara.
The girls’ quarter-finalists are: Nirodhya Perera versus Nisharshani Silva, Sachini Kaushalya versus Sandika Gayathri, Jithmi Gayara Bandara versus Lakshima Kalani, Shamina Heshani versus N.S. Perera.
