KNH releases their first Sinhala hit

The Trio Kapila, Naushad and Harith are back after a lapse of one year from releasing their debut single ‘Dollar Boy’. This time the KNH Project is releasing their first Sinhala original and video titled ‘Heta Elivena Thuru’.

This is a light hearted tune about the partying in Sri Lanka with the long found freedom after the 30 years of conflict in this beautiful island. The video is about the beautiful beaches, water sports and of course about endless partying.

The chorus of the tune is all about the beautiful coastal areas of the island and other beautiful places as the chores goes Kandy, Colombo, Hikka, Negombo Arugambay Hikkaduwa, Meegamuwe, Unawatune
Kandy, Colombo, Jaffna, Negombo Flash back on the KNH Project, which was formed over a decade ago when Kapila, Naushad and Harith were having a casual chat over a snack at the Blue Elephant Discotheque of the Hilton Colombo where they were performing as Dee Jays. After the Trio grouped as a team calling themselves the KNH Project (The letters from the first names being KNH), they had many achievements under their cap.

The KNH Project was the first set of DJs to do proper remixes in studios in the island. The first remixed CD was called ‘years of Dee Jaying’ putting together their wealth of experiences and followed it up with the E Mix during Shaggy’s visit to Sri Lanka. This CD had the hit single ‘It wasn’t me’ remixed with
Sri Lankan drums by Kapila, Naushad and Harith.

Also there was countless number of non-stop mixes done by the Trio. Apart from their regular haunt ‘The Blue Elephant’ Hilton Colombo, the KNH Project DJed in many Mega out door events and beach Parties. However house parties are not their forte, being proper Club Dee Jays.

The KNH Project’s recent Mega Event was the ‘Nye Dollar Party’ ‘to usher in year 2010 at Colombo Hilton’s Grand Ball Room. The Party was named after their successful song and video ‘The Dollar Boy’. The new song ‘Heta Elivena Thuru’. is produced by Iraj Weeraratne and the lyrics are by Wasantha Dukgannarala.

The above are just highlights about the Notorious Trio whose Deejing acts were the talk of the town during their active deejaying days in the nineties. They have raised the bar in the DJ circuit of Sri Lanka by Producing own songs and videos. Also DJ Naushad is the resident disk jockey of the newest night club in Colombo which is the club MOJO at the Taj Samudra Hotel, keeping the KNH flag flying high.
Harith of the KNH Trio will be migrating to the USA by October seeking greener pastures.

‘But I am sure my other two colleagues will continue with our project’ he added This new song project was totally sponsored by Mr. Khalid. The owner of Rough T-Shirts – Sports wear. Check their web site www.knhproject.com to get the latest updates.
