Matale CC in smashing win

Two good bowling performances by right arm leggie Amila Kanagaarachchi (6-29) and off spinner Shavindra Amaradasa (7-42) enabled Matale CC to score a smashing innings and 45 run win over Colombo Campus in their under 23 match played at the latter’s grounds.

Amith Tillekaratne (67) and Madushan Bototage (60) stood out a among the Matale batsmen. For the losers, all-rounder Anuradha Jayampathi played a lone hand.

Matale CC 280 in 56 overs (A. Tillekeratne 67, M. Bototage 60, M. De Silva 37, A. Kangaraarachchi 31, S. Amaradasa 24 n.o., A. Jayampathi 3 -47)
