KIK Lanka Limited is manufacturing and supplying electrical panel boards that are needed for industrial factories, business establishments and building complexes in Asian, African and Middle Eastern countries.
KIK products are fast gaining popularity in these markets, said chairman Lalith Kahatapitiya.
Mr Kahatapitiya, a chartered engineer, added: "KIK Lanka Limited was inaugurated in 1996 as a Board of Investment approved industrial institution in the Free Trade Zone, Katunayake.
"We manufactured electrical panel boards that are needed for large scale industrial institutions, business establishments and building complexes in Asian, African and Middle Eastern countries as well as Sri Lanka.
"KIK Lanka Limited is manufacturing and supplying high-quality and fully type tested electrical panel boards that are needed for industrial institutions, business establishments and building complexes in Sri Lanka too while exporting our products to Asian, African and Middle Eastern countries," he added.
The chairman also said: "There is a great demand for our products in India. This encouraged us to open a sales office in India in the year 2000."
He said the company received orders to manufacture and supply electrical panel boards to some top industrial organisations in India such as Motorola, Nokia, Hyundai, Nissan, Reliance and the Delhi Metro Underground railways.
"We were able to successfully complete those orders to the complete satisfaction of those organisations," he said.
The chairman added: "The ability of our organization to complete the orders received in a timely and competent manner depends on the dedication and confidence of our experienced, qualified and trusted engineers, technicians and other staff. I value their dedication, commitment and contribution very much."
KIK Lanka engineering manager Rohan Jayasinghe said: "There are plenty of other industrial factories manufacturing electrical panel boards in global markets and our organisation faces tough competition from them.
"The quality, timely supplies, unbeatable after sales service together with our competitive prices have enabled us to overcome the competition and be successful."
Mr Jayasinghe added: The products are subjected to stringent tests by our own engineers and by external international testing institutions. No product would leave our factory without being inspected and tested. From time to time, sample products are sent to international testing organizations for their testing and certification for complying to various requirement standards."
KIK Lanka Pvt Ltd factory is situated in the export processing zone, Katunayake.
