Over 450 Diplomates from the British College of Applied Studies the proud pioneers of Edexcel, UK's BTEC HND programmes in Sri Lanka are to be conferred Higher National Diplomas at the convocation ceremony to be held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) on August 15 2010 at 10.00 am. The diplomas to be awarded are for IT related disciplines, Quantity Surveying and Business Management.
The function will be held under the patronage of Mr Abdur Rahman, the Chairman of the British College of Applied Studies and the Chief Guest for the occasion will be Professor Robert Moreton, Dean of the School of Communication & Information Technology, University of Wolverhampton, UK.
Edexcel UK will be represented by Mr. Suriya Bibile, its Country Manager for Sri Lanka.
Mr. Abdul Rahman stated, "The occasion will mark the culmination of 16 months of studying at BCAS and will be the pinnacle for the students receiving awards. This ceremony stands testament to the many accolades and achievements of BCAS students for their performances in their chosen fields of study.
