“Metikaraththaya” at Elphinstone

‘Mati Karaththaya’, Parakrama Niriella’s production with Janakaraliya Drama and Theatre Arts group will go on boards at 3.30 and 6.45 pm on August 11 at the Elphinstone Theatre, Colombo 10.

The Sinhala production of Shudraka’s “Mrichchakatika” Sanskrit play translated by Piyadasa Nissanka, ‘Mati Karaththaya’ is assisted by Ronika Chamalee and Thiyagaraja Sivanieshan.

Fulltime Janakaraliya members Jayantha Muthutrnathi, Suneth Shanthapriya, Malithi Kumari, Nishantha Kularatna, Manjula Ranasinghe, RasaiyaLohanandan, Dinesh Livcra, PalithaAbeylal, Sokkalingam Krishanthan, Arosha Tharangani, Selvaraj Leelawathi, Ajanthan Shanthakumar, Ronika Chamali, Thyagaraja Sivanesan. Sineth Devinda. Ranjith Sumith, Amila Dineshkumara, Rajeshwaran Sathyaprabha, Sarath Banagala. Chandani Malkanthi, Inoka Lankapura, Bhuddhika Ratnasekara.

Ruvini Dilanthi, Asela Chathuranga, Suresh Asanga, Dinesh Kumara and child actors Ranisu Domika and Kavindu Kunchana play in ‘Meti Karaththya’.

Executive producers of the drama are Amitta Weerasinghe and Dilip Rohana while music direction has been conducted by Sumudu Mallawaarachchi costumes are designed by Suwineetha Subasinghe.Jude Srimal organizes the play and tickets are available at Sarasavi Book shop Nugegoda, Sadeepa Book shop Borella, Nirmala Graphics - Super Market Borella and Elphinstone theatre.
