SD'H: S’pore's leading tourism and hospitality school

School D' Hospitality is Singapore's leading Tourism and Hospitality School with a vast array of full-time and part-time hospitality courses covering the areas of hotel, food and beverages, events, casino and tourism management.

School D' Hospitality is an accredited centre of Association of Business Executives (ABE), UK and has academic collaboration with institutions in Switzerland and France. It has been awarded CaseTrust by the Consumers' Association of Singapore (CASE). SD'H is also an approved training organisation of the Workforce Development Authority under the Singapore government; is ISO 9001:2008 certified; and is supported by a robust quality management system.

100% internship success rate at top hospitality organisations
As the school has deep connections with the hospitality industry, 100% of SD'H students have secured placements with hospitality-related employers such as 5-star hotels, top F&B establishments and integrated resorts immediately after their studies at SD'H.

Some of the companies and organisations that SD'H students are interning include 5-star hotels, exclusive country clubs and top restaurants. Employers include Hilton, Mandarin Oriental, The Regent, Goodwood Park and Holiday Inn.

With strong linkages to top-tier hospitality establishments and partners, SD'H is one of the few hospitality schools in Singapore to have successfully opened doors for its graduates and students to embark on a successful career in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Strong management credentials
Our management team consists of veterans who have decades of industry and management experience. They include ex-senior officials from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

At SD'H, students can expect to learn first-hand from top industry insiders such as SD'H Academic Director, Mr Yeh Choy Yan, who has over 15 years of experience within the Tourism industry and was previously an Assistant Director at the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).

Managing Director of SD'H Mr Chia Tuck Keong holds equally impressive credentials. His portfolio includes senior government and diplomatic experience, having formerly served as Singapore's Consul-General in Shanghai for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He holds a Master's degree in Public Administration. Richard Hu, Director of SD'H, has also accumulated over 15 years of experience in vocational and higher education, having served as an ex-ITE Campus Director.

Comprehensive and practical courses to prepare students for the industry
At SD'H, students reap valuable knowledge from their lecturers' experience through theory-based learning.

They also gain important skills from industry immersion programmes including field trips and internships. SD'H places a strong emphasis on learning beyond the classroom.
"The internship opportunity is important (to our students) as it equips them with valuable work skills.
That's why SD'H places a strong emphasis on learning beyond the classroom, and that is our winning formula for preparing our students for a rewarding and exciting career in the hospitality industry," said Mr Chia.
