ICBT Kandy Campus moves to a new premises with state-of-the-art facilities

The International College of Business and Technology (ICBT) Kandy campus commenced it's operations in 2006 in a moderate building at peradaniya Kandy Road. The development of the institute was so rapid that every year of operation it had to add additionalspace and by 2010 it had linkedfour adjacent buildings to meetthe demand. Even then by July 2010 pressure on space was so acute that the ICBT had to move in to a building at #398, Peradeniya Road, Kandy.

The new building has six floors with over 30,000 sq.ft. available for current utilization. It has all the modern facilities needed for smooth functioning of the academic programmes of the Institute.
For example, it has six modern computer labs withspace for future expansions. All these labs are equipped with full time internet. One of the labs is open 24 hours & all 365 days for the use of students. Throughout the building wireless internet facilities are available for the convenience of students as well as staff that could use their own computers to access wireless internet connection.

There are two special labs designed for the use of students who are studying Engineering (Electrical/Electronic & Civil) @ ICBT Kandy Campus. The new building is also having eleven spacious classrooms equipped with audio-visual facilities to be utilized whenteaching, in addition to access to internet.

The noteworthy addition to the space facility at ICBT, Kandy campus is the conference hall with the capacity for 150 people again with modern facilities needed for conferences and workshops.
All the labs, classrooms and the conference room are fully air-conditioned for the comfort of the users of the facility.

The new building also has spacious library facilities withboth reference and lending books and other relevant material needed for the academic programmes conducting at ICBT. In addition to labs, class rooms, space is reserved for the use of students when not attending lectures.

A cafeteria and recreational space is available in the roof top of the building which helps students to interact with each other and take part in social activities. The ample parking facilities in the basement of the building is a luxury in Kandy and that eases out the problem of parking faced by staff and students before moving to the new building.

On the whole new premises of ICBT Kandy Campus are at reatto the students as well as staff which has brought salubrious atmosphere and state of the art facilities for international education in Kandy.
