Singapore Informatics awards 42 scholarships

Singapore Informatics computer Institute, the true multinational computer Institute present in 23 countries, is not only committed towards quality education but also in its social responsibility toward the nation.

Singapore Informatics, again demonstrating its commitment to tertiary education in Sri Lanka, has awarded 42 scholarships for students to study at its new state-of-the-art campus, which was recently opened. The first twelve of these scholarships were handed over to the students by Higher Education MinisterS.B. Dissanayaka at the recently concluded "Future minds" exhibition. These scholarships were awarded to the winners of the essay competition titled 'My Success Story' organized by the Nalanda College Junior Old Boys' Society. The competition was open to all the schools of Sri Lanka, and the organizers received more than 500 entries, from which the top entries were selected by an independent panel consisting of some of the best known journalists in Sri Lanka.

Singapore Informatics offers Sri Lankan students quality education through world renowned universities at a price which is affordable to a majority. This not only gives the opportunity for a large number of students to obtain degree qualifications, but also conserves a large amount of foreign exchange in terms of 'Tuition Fees' and 'Living expenses’ which will be spent if the student goes overseas. In addition the student gets the benefit of obtaining the same degree qualification, as if studying in the university itself. The student even gets the opportunity to attend the graduation of the foreign university.
Singapore Informatics is one of the premier Institutes, having three faculties to suite the current job market. Faculty of Information Technology, catering to IT, Networking and especially Cyber Security industry; Faculty of Business providing the best business administrators to the Market; Singapore Informatics also offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer & Electronics through Faculty of Engineering.
