Zahira Rugby Sevens on August 1

The Zahira Rugby Sevens, a schools invitation tournament organized by the Zahira College Colombo Group of Sixties for the third successive year will be held on August 1 (Sunday) from 8 am to 5 pm at the Royal College Sports Complex, Colombo 7.

The tournament has the blessings of the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association and the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union. Twelve leading rugby playing schools will participate in the one day contest and keen competition is expected. Handsome awards are on offer for the winning teams in the Cup, Plate and Bowl Championships and the Most Outstanding Player.

The tournament started in 2008 to celebrate 85 years of rugby at Zahira. With the success of the tournament the Old Boys of the Zahira Group of Sixties organized the event for the second year too.
Isipathana won the Cup Championships for two consecutive years. Will they be able to repeat it?
