Roshni Trade International (Pvt.) Ltd. was established in the year 1985, by its founder and brainchild Mr. Dinesh Rawat. Roshni Trade International is a part of the Dinmay Group, which is a powerful business conglomerate in India that has set up business operations in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Singapore and Bangladesh.

The Sunday Times Supplements Desk spoke to Mr. Dinesh Rawat and Mr. Dinmay Rawat, Director of Roshni Trade International to find out more about their services and future plans.

"Presently our product range includes hardware, steel products and jute products, packaging material etc. Our key strength has always been our exemplary service standards, where our efficient teams of dedicated employees go out of their way to provide the very best to all our customers. Our mission is to be a leading company in the supply of building construction materials, steel hardware, packaging materials, jute products, glass bottles and rice and tea machineries, to manufacturers, traders and end users. We continually train and develop potential individuals to sustain them in our business. Our mission is to supply quality products at competitive prices which contribute towards nation building whilst delivering the highest services of our customers", says Mr. Dinesh Rawat.

As future plans Roshni Trade International looks forward to import water melon seeds, from Africa which provides a similar taste to that of cashew nuts. This will be introduced to Sri Lanka for the first time and will be a healthier alternative to cashew nuts and is currently a favourite with regards to the preparing of vegetarian dishes and cakes etc. internationally.

"Sri Lanka's close ties with India are very encouraging as Sri Lanka's economy can prosper very well alongside India's economy. Indians love Sri Lanka and with the end of the war the future looks bright for the country and its business prospects looks very promising. The Indian consumers are very receptive to Sri Lankan products, and therefore the country is gearing up to achieve high growth rates in the future, which I am confident will be possible", further stated Mr. Dinesh Rawat.

Although Mr. Dinesh Rawat is a businessman he is also a deep set philanthropist and is highly dedicated towards social work and the betterment of mankind. In India Mr. Dinesh Rawat is referred to as the 'Green Miracle Man', who has inspired thousands though his 'Mission Green' project. His extensive travel has taken him to over 60 countries around the world. Apart from his radiant business personality Mr. Dinesh Rawat is also a member of several leading chambers of commerce, export councils and business groups. Although he has accomplished so much in life he remains a personality that prefers to accept the art of simple living and is never one to chase after fame and fortune. This is not only reflected in his social work but is also clearly shown in the manner in which he conducts his business operations. Therefore living a spiritual life in harmony with nature is what Mr. Rawat truly believes in.
