ESOFT produces BIT Batch-top for 3rd consecutive year

The 2010 BIT Graduation Ceremony for the 2009 Batch was successfully held on May 19, and two students of ESOFT shone at the highest levels due to their accomplishments.

We feel it is our social responsibility to educate the parents and students about the true nature of the BIT Degree offered by the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC). BIT is a three year Academic Degree that is awarded by the UCSC. All examinations are conducted by the UCSC and various training organizations provide the material to prepare the students for the exams.

There are many "mushroom" organizations that spring up trying to offer the BIT Degree at bargain prices every time a new intake is announced. Most of them lack in the academic strength and the infrastructure to offer a Degree level programme thereby trapping many students who make the wrong choice. It is a very disappointing state that many of these students hoping to gain entry to a rewarding ICT career by completing their degree are robbed of their opportunities when they are dropped from the programme in the very first year itself.

This is where ESOFT stands out among the rest by maintaining a steady delivery from the inception of the BIT Programme in 2000. Today, ESOFT is the largest course provider for the BIT Degree, offering it in many parts of Sri Lanka including the North and East. ESOFT provides uninterrupted classes for all six semesters meaning that you will have a pathway to progress with a single partner without having to switch course providers.

We have captured the confidence of the students by offering quality delivery using standardised course material and innovative teaching techniques. We also provide some of the finest infrastructure in order to provide the best learning environment. Over the years, we have produced consistent results and have produced a significant number of graduates including two first class Degree Holders and two Gold Medal Winners for outstanding performances. This year, a total of 161 graduates were awarded their certificates at a grand ceremony. ESOFT is proud of the fact that of the 161 graduates, a total of 74 were students who had studied at ESOFT either partially or completely. With 46% of the total graduates, and 72% of the graduates with Classes having been from ESOFT, we were indeed happy to see their performances.

All students registering for the BIT Programme will be gifted with a Free MP3 Player, whilst those that register for our BIT PLUS Programme will be given a Free MP4 Player. BIT PLUS students also have the benefit of claiming a brand new computer worth Rs. 35,000 from us absolutely free.

Any further information regarding the programme, the entry process, and other information can be obtained by calling our student counsellors (Ms. Randima - 077-309 9 301 and Mr. Ralph - 077 378 5 303) or calling our general number on 011 2 553 883 or 011 7 55 55 45.
