IELTS, the International English Language Testing System is a test designed to access the English - language proficiency of those who aspire to proceed overseas for study, work or migration to countries where English is used as the language of communication. IELTS is managed by reputable international organizations, namely; the British Council, IELTS Australia and the University of Cambridge which alone is sufficient evidence to vouch for the quality and genuineness of IELTS.

Over 6000 educational institutions, agencies and professional bodies throughout the world accept IELTS as a trusted and valid indicator of one’s English language proficiency. IELTS is essentially the primary English language entry requirement for UK, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada and also throughout Europe.

IELTS has two types of tests, viz; (i) Academic and (ii) General Training. The Academic Test is for those who want to study at a tertiary level while the General Training is for those wanting to have work experience or training or for migration. Both tests are made up of four modules - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Test results are graded on the unique IELTS - 9 band scale.
