Book on Sri Lankan Volleyball

All valuable and important details of Sri Lankan volleyball are to be incorporated in this book. A request has been made to all personnel in the field of volleyball to submit their details, photos to the following address on or before June 15.

The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVBF) has decided to publish a book covering the history of volleyball in Sri Lanka. Volleyball which was introduced to Sri Lanka has now become the National Game of the country.

President of the Volleyball Federation Minister Dilan Perera has appointed the following sub-committee to carry out this task. They are: Padmasiri Rajapaksa (Vice President of the SLVBF, Chairman Sub Committee), Susil Ranasinghe (Secretary), C. Ratnamudali, Priyantha Jayakody and Sqd. Leader P.N. De Costa are the members of this sub-committee.

All valuable and important details of Sri Lankan volleyball are to be incorporated in this book. A request has been made to all personnel in the field of volleyball to submit their details, photos on or before June 15. These details can also be hand delivered to the Federation too to Padmasiri Rajapaksa, Vice President,Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation, No 02, Reid Avenue, Colombo 7.

Meanwhile the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation has called for applications from qualified volleyball coaches and players for the FIVB Technical Volleyball Seminar on ‘Middle Player’ to be held at the FIVB Regional Development Centre in Chennai, India from June 1 to 6.

Coaches, Players who are interested are requested to submit their applications to the Secretary, Volleyball Federation at Reid Avenue Colombo 7 on or before May 2010.
