BATA-Sunday Times Most Popular School Boy Cricketer of the Year Contest 2010
It looks as if nothing short of a landslide will stop Raihaan Rizvi of Carey College Colombo from winning the All Island Competition at the Bata-Sunday Times Most Popular Schoolboy Competition. Rizvi has got a massive 2061 votes this week and the total number of votes he has received so far is a staggering 24702.
Geshan Wimaladharma of Ananda College Colombo is far behind in second place with 3255 votes.
In the Outstations Contest G. Ayesh Madushan of Holy Cross Vidyalaya has totaled 5616 votes while in second slot is Nalin Priyadharshana of Sri Piyarathna Vidyalaya – Padukka with 4447 votes.
In the International Schools Contest Shaji Rayyan Samman of Lyceum International School Wattala received 335 votes this week and has taken his total number of votes to 5633 and Nesarajaha Revenson also of Lyceum International School Wattala received 117 votes and is in second spot in this contest with 52444 votes. Tharusha Thilakarathne also from Lyceum International Schools Wattala is in third slot with 2412 votes after having received 81 votes this week.
This week’s prizes go to: (1) A.S. Ranapura, 539 Waragoda Road, Kelaniya; (2) Kanchana Maliyaratne,Watta Kotuwa, Mahawewa; (3) A.M. de. Silva, Delduwa, Ambalangoda.
