Conqueror paper is environmentally friendly

Papyrus Papers, the sole authorised distributor in Sri Lanka for Conqueror paper, says the Conqueror product range has been certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC is an independent international organisation that monitors the responsible management of forests. “The FSC certification, which signifies that the pulp used in manufacture comes from well-managed forests, applies to the entire Conqueror range, as well as to allied products,” the company said in a press release.

“What this means is that the paper and board we sell is certified as originating from renewable forests, and comply with internationally-approved environmental standards,” said the Managing Director of Papyrus Papers, Michelle Abeyesundere.

“Therefore, environment-conscious users, especially large corporate sector consumers can now make a commitment to the conservation of the environment by using FSC-certified paper from Conqueror,” she said.

Several other international paper brands that Papyrus Papers plans to market in Sri Lanka will also be FSC certified. These include the Italian brand ‘Favini’ and the ‘TruCard’ range from the UK manufacturer, Tullis Russell.
