Royal Challengers take IPL Third place

Royal Challengers clinched third place without much effort in the IPL Twenty/20 Cricket competition when they crushed Deccan Chargers by nine wickets in Mumbai last night. In reply to Deccan Chargers 82 all out in 18.3 overs, the Royal Challengers made 86 for 1 in 13. 5 overs with Jacques Kallis, Rahul Dravid and Kevin Pietersen leading the run hunt.

A fiery spell of bowling by Anil Kumble who captured four wickets giving away just 16 runs and superb back-up bowling by Jacques Kallis (2 for 3) and Parveen Kumar saw Deccan Chargers being shot out for 82 in 18.3 overs. Earlier Anirudh Singh and Venugopal tried their best to prop up the side scoring 40 and 24 runs respectively but the others simply collapsed against bowling of Kumble, Kumar and Kallis.
