Ron at the top again

Ronald de Alwis, popularly known as ‘Ron the Magician’ was once again unanimously elected President of the Sri Lanka Magic Circle recently at the prestigious 88 year old Sri Lanka Magic Circle (SLMC) Annual General Meeting.

De Alwis, popular magician and entertainer, was elected the 3rd President in 2001 and continued upto 2004 and once again took over the reins, consecutively from 2007 to 2010.

Ronald’s intentions this year are to market and promote Magic among children and adult audiences and even take magic to the North and East including far off rural areas where village audiences hardly benefit entertainment wise. Magic could be presented as an entertainment to create delightful acts presented in an interactive and lively manner to keep the audience spell bound with mind boggling tricks. In a meaningful manner Ron keeps his audience spell bound with his witty patter, highly interactive style and mind boggling, presentation at kiddies birthdays, company socials, fund raisers and even at charitable institutions.

De Alwis hopes to enroll youngsters and those from the corporate sectors to join the Magic Circle to learn magic as a hobby. Those interested in joining the Sri Lanka Magic Circle could contact 011~2852998 / Email magicana@sltnet.lk or even visit the Web Site http://www.srilankamagic.org

Presenting magic could even soothe nerves and Ron wishes to introduce a new concept of presenting Therapy Magic too, apart from Close Up, Street Magic, Parlour or Stage Magic and even be a means to advertise in product promotions.

The ever-energetic President de Alwis has already planned out a mission to expand the Magic Circle to international levels by promoting affiliations to the Sri Lanka Magic Circle. Ronald de Alwis leads the Magic Circle with a dedicated team of Board Members
