Handball comes to Galle

Handball, a game that is very popular in most parts of the world, has been introduced by the Sri Lanka Handball Association. The Association has launched a five year programme to introduce the game to the island. Under this programme several sports persons in the district have been trained in the game and will impart their knowledge to various schools in the near future. Above picture shows Handball coach Senarath Senanayake during one of his coaching stints. – Pic by our Galle Corr Gamini Mahadura.
