What I can do on a rainy day

On a rainy day I can't go and play with my friends or go on bug hunting. So I stay in my house and read Ladybird books and argue with my brother about indoor games.

But I just have to keep playing because I can't watch TV because of the thunder and lightning. And when my brother gets angry and he stops playing and goes. So I do some of my homework.

Then my mother calls me to come and arrange the table for lunch. Sometimes I make paper boats and send them along the rain water.

Something that really bugs me

Imagine being alone in a dark place. Suddenly you feel something large crawling up your shoulder. You look and see some long, hairy legs and at once you realize that you have a spider on your
shoulder.

Now, all this might not be frightening. You might think that a spider is a small, harmless creature. But, would you think the same about a really large spider? So, the thing that really bugs me is a bug, the spider.

There are many large spiders in the world, such as the tarantula. Some of them are venomous as well.
I have had quite a few encounters with spiders. The encounter in which I was scared the most took place in the swimming pool.

So, if anyone asks what really bugs me, what I will say is, the thing that really bugs me is, a spider.

The importance of water

For humans to live, they need air, water and food. Of these water is considered the most important basic
element because we use it for many purposes such as drinking, bathing, washing and so on.

It's more important than food because we can live for several days without food but we can't live a few days without having something to drink. It's not surprising that water is important. Seventy percent of our body is made of it. Water is also needed to carry dissolved substances through the body. Also it makes up much of our blood and digestive juices.

Our body is continually losing water and replacing what it has lost. Water is also needed by farmers to maintain a healthy cultivation. The industries use water for industrial activities and power stations use water for generating electricity.

Many people don't know the value of water so they waste a lot of water. The industrialists, even though they use water, they pollute the water by releasing harmful chemicals to water. The people too pollute water by throwing garbage into nearby waterways.

In view of the above facts we can easily realize that a land without water is a place where no human beings, animals or plants can live. That is why water is regarded as an invaluable resource. So we say that water is our life blood.
