Be prepared to experience the biggest adrenaline rush you have ever gone through, as you cheer your guts out for your teams. Bring in your team spirit to the biggest tertiary education sporting manifestation ever to hit Colombo, as the Student Activity Club of APIIT, brings to you, "The APIIT Sports Fiesta"!
There will be six contenders who will face each other in this tournament, namely- APIIT, ACBT, Colombo University, Moratuwa University, SLIIT and Sri Jayewardenepura University. On April 24, we will watch in anticipation as these six modern day gladiators bravely battle against each other in an array of eight sports which are Badminton, Basketball, Carom, Cricket, Football, Rugby, Squash and Swimming. With each university having more than just one competitive advantage over the other, the organizers guarantee an event to be remembered. Entrance for all sports is free, so come one, come all!
The first sport to come with this storm on the debut day, will be Cricket at the Bloomfield Grounds, followed by the next of wave on May 2 at S. Thomas' College Mt. Lavinia, packed with Badminton, Basketball, Carom, Squash and Swimming, and it will finally end with the grand finale held at St. Peter's College on May 9, with the remaining two events left to battle out, Rugby & Football. The closing ceremony will follow afterwards ending this glorious event, and crowning the campus that would henceforth come to be known as- "The King of Kings"!
