APIIT SPORTS FIESTA - The best days of our lives!

History will be made on April 24 when the Student Activity Club of APIIT kicks off the grandest sporting event in the tertiary education sector - Sports Fiesta 2010. This gala event will see six top-notch campuses from around the country coming together to battle it out in an arena of eight sports where only one of them can become the champion. Up till now the contenders and games that were shrouded in mystery will finally come to light.

The six campuses from around the country which are APIIT, ACBT, Colombo University, Moratuwa University, SLIIT and Sri Jayewardenepura University will go head to head in eight sports which are Badminton, Basketball, Carrom, Cricket, Football, Rugby Squash and Swimming.

All eight sports will be held at three separate venues across three days. The first day of the Sports Fiesta will see the Cricket matches being worked off amidst the familiar sounds of Papare and the roar of the crowds at the Bloom Field Cricket grounds on April 24. The majority of the remaining sports will be completed on May 2 at S. Thomas' College when Badminton, Basketball, Carrom, Squash and Swimming will fill the day with something for every sports lover.

Finally on May 9 the grounds of St. Peters' College Colombo will see the grand finale when the six campuses clash on the fields of rugby and football which will be followed by the closing ceremony where the champion will be crowned… The King of Kings.
