Deepal elected President of Kalutara Town Club

Deepal V. Perera was elected as the President of the Kalutara Town Club (KTC) at the annual general meeting of the club which was held on Sunday.

Deepal a die hard member of KTC joined the club in 1989 and has been involved in the upcoming and development of the KTC for nearly two decades.

Deepal becomes the youngest ever to be elected to this prestigious post in the 122 year old history of the club. Deepal is the son of Siri Perera who is a past president of KTC and a prominent lawyer who is currently the District Governor of the Lions Club International 306A1.

Deepal prior to being elected as the youngest president was also elected as the youngest secretary of KTC in 1995 and later served as the vice president.

Apart from his contribution and support that he has given for sports at KTC, he is a active social worker in the Kalutara district and currently serves as the President of Lions Club Kalutara Central. The incumbent president is an old boy of Wesley College Colombo.
