Keerthi on saddle again

‘Sivu Pethi Kusuma’, the latest visual creations of popular singer Keerthi Pasquel was launched recently.

‘Sivu Pethi Kusuma’ is a collection of four new songs with visuals. ‘Manamaala Handawe’, ‘Bakini Gahe’, ‘Hada Maage’ and ‘Gala Yaawee Jeevithe’ are created with coincide as Keerthi is commemorating thirty years as a singer in the music scene.

‘Having completed with great effort, the production of four new songs with visuals and each of high quality, these songs are now ready to be launched for telecast by Sri Lankan TV Channels’ he said.

Upali Bandara Weerasekera, Anura Magalage, Lakmali Kariyawasam and Chandrarathne Mapitigama penned the songs. Sarath de Alwis, Kasun Pasquel, Mahinda Bandara and Dinesh Subasinghe created music for the songs ‘Manamaala Handawe’, ‘Hada Maage’ , ‘Bakini Gahe’, and ‘Gala Yaaw Jeevithe’ respectively.

Keerthi started his music career in 1976 with the band Galaxies under the guidance of a veteran musician late Stanley Peiris. Later in 1980 he recorded his first solo single ‘Hantane nilkanduweti athare’ and flowed by his popular ‘Neela Ahase’.

He then joined Stanley and his new band ‘Fortunes’ in 1983 as guitarist and the lead vaocal.Since then he has created many popular hits to his credit such as ‘Nil Upuli’, ‘Sandalatha’, ‘ Issarakale’ ‘Kandula’.
